lachung, a hill station located in north east side of sikkim at an elevation of 2,900 meters. it is one of the most beautiful villages of sikkim and offers panoramic views of snowcapped mountains. lachung literally means ‘small pass’. it is about 120 kms from gangtok. the entire drive to lachung is filled with military bases, where photography is strictly prohibited and we are not allowed to halt for too long without any reason.

• naga waterfall, one of the most beautiful waterfalls which you will meet while driving to north sikkim.
• bhim nala & twin waterfall can visited while driving from gangtok to lachung
• yumthang valley at an elevation of 3,500 m is a beautiful valley situated in north sikkim which is about 25 kms away from lachung and takes about 2 hours to reach it. it is natural home to many beautiful himalayan flowers and is also known as valley of flowers. april – june the valley filled with colorful with rhododendron and is extremely beautiful. in november to january we can enjoy the scenic and panoramic views of the valleys and surrounding snow-capped mountain ranges.
• yumesamdong also referred to zero point is the end of yumthang valley. it is situated close to china border and can be visited by indian tourists only. it is an hour’s drive beyond yumthang valley (26 kms)
