in order to travel to any part of sikkim, the guest normally arrive first in gangtok. there are three ways as to how the guests can arrive in gangtok

by road – the guests can arrive in sikkim from any part of the country driving via siliguri. siliguri is about 120 kms from gangtok

by rail – the nearest railway station is new jalpaiguri which is around 125 kms from gangtok. new jalpaiguri (njp) is well linked by trains to numerous major cities of the country

by air – the closest airport to gangtok is pakyong airport (31 kms from gangtok) which was commissioned by shri narendra modi in 2018. till recently it was used as an army airport. however commercial flights have commenced but the frequency and connectivity to other cities is few. guests still favor bagdogra as the preferred airport to travel by air. it is about 130 kms from gangtok and is well connected to major parts of the country.
