lake fewa or lake phewa: an interesting feature of pokhara valley is cluster of delightful lakes. phewa, rupa and begnas are the most famous ones while khaste, dipang and mardi are some other smaller lakes situated further away. phewa lake, largest of seven lakes, sprawls pokhara’s pulsating tourist neighbourhood. it is around 4.5 km long and about 200m to 1km wide. eastern bank is popularly known as lakeside, is main tourist residence area in pokhara. hotels, restaurants, shops, banks, atms etc. are located in and around lakeside area. there is also boating facility here. surrounded by the green forest and pokhara city, on clear days it reflects the beautiful images of machhachapuchre.
