dochula pass: at an altitude of 3,150 mts the most famous pass in bhutan which is  about 30 km drive from thimphu on the way to punakha. on a clear sunny day, you get spectacular view of the mighty himalayan ranges. during winters, road to dochula pass is covered with mild snow. this location is marked by hundreds of prayer flags and 108 chortens stupas built under the patronage of queen ashi dorji wangmo wangchuk dedicated to bravery of bhutanese soldiers.
