gangtey goempa: gangtey goempa is located on a hilltop overlooking the entire phobjika valley. it is an important as well as one of the largest monastery of nyingmapa school of buddhism, the main seat of the pema lingpa tradition. the present abbot, kunzang pema namgyal is believed to be the ninth re-incarnation.
