umiam lake, a man-made lake covering an area of 221 sq. km. the lake offers adventure activities like water cycling, kayaking, scooting and boating. it is located about 15 kms from shillong. it is essentially manmade reservoir built due to dam here and is the main source of water supplied to shillong.
