double decker living root bridge is one of the biggest tourist attraction of cherrapunji. it is located in nongriat village where it can be reached can be reached after a long trek. thr trek involves climbing up and down around 3000 moss covered steps and takes around 6 hrs to complete. the umshiang river flows below the bridge. it is about 15 km from cherrapunjee and is believed to be over 200 years old and can take up to 50 people at a time.
