kachari ruins is famous for its ancient monoliths (generally 8 to 10 feet high) created by the dimasa kachari kingdoms that ruled prior to ahom invasion in 13th century. the biggest one is about 22 feet tall. these monoliths are in the shape of mushroom domed pillars. apart from the monoliths, there are also ruins of temples, tanks and embankments in this place.
