arunachal pradesh literally means ‘the land of dawn-lit mountains’ and covers an area of 83,743 sq km. it is the largest state in north east india. its landscape is filled with beautiful rivers and lakes, forests, mountain ranges, valleys and small villages. it is also known as orchid state of india or the paradise for botanists

it is a major attraction for adventure sports with options for river rafting, kayaking, trekking and motor biking. it also has rich in wildlife with the highlight being white winged wood duck. infact it has one of the highest diversity of mammals and birds in india. forested area accounts for one third of the total habitat area.

the main economy of the state depends upon agriculture. sale of forest products are an important source of income of people here.  hydroelectricity going forward is expected to be a major source of income here.
