jaswant garh war memorial is built in the honor of jaswant singh rawat, an indian rifleman of 4 garhwal rifles, killed during the indo-china war in 1962. he was posthumously awarded mahavir chakra for his heroics. it is located about 25 kms from tawang just below sela pass. this temple like structure has a garlanded bust of jaswant singh.
