dehing patkai national park also known as jeypore rainforest it was declared as a wildlife sanctuary in 13th june 2004 and national park in 13th december 2020. dehing is the name of the river that flows through this forest and patkai is the hill at the foot of which the sanctuary lies. it has the highest concentration of white winged wood duck an endangered species. it is spread over an area of 111.19 sq. km and belongs to assam’s wet tropical evergreen forest category.
