assam state museum is located at south of digholi pukhuri tank and was established by the kamarupa anusandhan samiti (assam research society) in 1940. the museum has a huge collection of antiques dating back to the prehistoric times.
it is also a great place to visit if you want a sneak-peak of the history of the north-east india.
