agnigarh, fire fort, is fortress constructed on top of hill built by king banasura, to keep his daughter usha away from lord krishna’s grandson, anirudha. it was surrounded by fire on all its sides hence called agnigarh. in order to reach the fortress we have to climb circular staircase and from hill top we can enjoy great views of tezpur.
