two best seasons to travel to bhutan would be spring and autumn. however, now a days it is seen that even summers/monsoon and winters have their own charms and have started to see inflow of tourists.

  • summer: june, july & august – considered as an offseason period in bhutan especially for dollar playing clients. this period is characterised by sapphire skies, lush green valleys, beautiful landscapes and less crowded. the most important festival during this period is haa summer festival, nimalung tshechu.
  • winter: december, january, february – again considered as an offseason period in bhutan especially for dollar playing clients. this is the best time to avoid the crowd as the skies are generally clear and with black necked cranes arriving in gangtey. the most important festival during this period is punakha tshechu.
