coronation park (located in middle of wang chhu river and changlimithang stadium, thimphu): occupying around 5 acres of land, this park was built to commemorate 100 years of monarchy in bhutan and crowning of fifth king, his majesty jigme khesar namgyal wangchuck. apart from various species in flowers that be found inside the park, there is also a giant walking statue of lord buddha which is about 45 feet in height.
