folk heritage museum (located in pedzoe lam, thimphu): this three-storey traditional building established in 2001 replicates a farmhouse and gives us an opportunity to have a glimpse into bhutanese lifestyle and also showcases artifacts from the rural households. the environment and ambience inside the building is such that it takes us back to 150 years old into bhutanese lifestyle. the museum organizes for the visitors regular demonstrations of rural traditions, habits and skills. one should carry a torch (flashlight) as some of the rooms are quite dimly lit. it also has an restaurant serving local bhutanese cuisine.
