thimphu centenary farmers weekend market and kuendeyling bazaam (located on banks of wang chhu river, just north of changlimithang stadium, thimphu): this two storied building complex of permanent stalls is where every saturday & sunday one of the largest domestic market for bhutanese farmers are held. vendors start arriving on thursday and remains there till sunday midnight. it is an unique opportunity to mingle with the locals and see them haggling in their pursuit for best prices. here you can see wide range of bhutanese goods and vegetable market. people come here to buy fresh vegetables, bhutanese souvenirs, fruits, diary products and also different aromatic local incenses. people also combine a visit here with souvenir shopping in the nearby handicrafts market which is located across  cantilever footbridge known as kuendeyling bazaam whose whole interior is covered with colourful prayer flags.
