thadlaskein lake, located 20 kilometers from jowai, this is a beautiful man-made historical lake. as per the legends this lake was dug using the end of bows by people from sajjar niangli village to avoid the bloodbath and to avoid wrath of then king of jaintiapur. till today the lake is regarded as a sacred lake which is being worshipped by the people of raid mukhla who continued to offer sacrifices near the lake.
