laitlum canyons located on top the east khasi hills can be translated as ‘end of hills’. it is a paradise for trekkers, nature lovers and adventurers seekers  and offers bird’s eye view of shillong city. it is about 21 kms from shillong which is about a half-hour drive away. it can be visited by families, friends and couples. one has to hike for about 2 minutes via the shorter route to reach the top.
