sweet falls located about 5 kms from shillong is a popular picnic spot. it is often referred ‘most beautiful’ and yet ‘most dangerous’ waterfall in shillong and tourists are not allowed to enter the waterfall but see it from a viewpoint near happy valley. numerous suicides and accidental falls have been occurred at the sweet falls.
