meghalaya is a place which offers lot of unique experiences to the tourists, some of which are given below:

• trek to living root bridge – a visit to meghalaya can never be complete without doing the trek to living root bridge, a unesco world heritage site. these entangled roots are strong enough to hold more than 50 people together. thr trek involves climbing up and down around 3000 moss covered steps.

• trekking at laitlum canyon should be must in the bucket list of all trekkers. the terrain is difficult to maneuver but can be done in around 5 hours. on reaching the top, the trekkers are greeted with breathtaking view of meghalaya which makes the entire trek worth doing.

• visit elephant falls made up of three steps very close to shillong peak.

• visit mawlynnong village voted as asia’s cleanest village. the village is so clean that it is hard to find even a tiny piece of straw lying below. the village promotes eco tourism and has 100% literacy rates.

• visit balpakram national park or land of spirits is a paradise for wildlife lovers. locals here believe the rock structures here are home to the departed ancestral souls.

• rowing on dawki river which is believed to be the cleanest river in india with crystal clear waters which makes it possible to see the bottom.

• shopping at bara bazaar in shillong is an amazing experience. it market is famous for artworks, textile works, and handicrafts. also lot of mouth watering dishes can be found here to satisfy your taste buds.
