uttarey, located in west district of sikkim, it can reached easily from pelling. in order to reach here, one has to pass through singshore bridge. it is famous for its tranquility and provides beautiful view to the ranges. this allows a more serene atmosphere to be enjoyed. during winter the mountains around here are covered with snow allowing heavenly views.

sightseeing destinations includes:

• the kagyu monastery, built in 1711 is one of the most established monasteries of sikkim.  it is highly revered place of worship for locals and is set amidst dense forests. the dentam peak and the river is also visible from the monastery.
• tenzing hillary memorial park, the recreation centre was introduced in 2015. extraordinary views of the kanchenjunga range can be seen from here on a clear morning.
• trout farm, around 2 kms from uttarey town, trout hatchery centre has been established by government of sikkim and has become a tourist attraction.
• mainbass waterfall, the water fall is about 7 kms from uttarey town. you have to travel through the west bound road from uttarey which leads to the trout farm. from here another 5 kms walk through the forested trail will take you to mainbass falls.
