day 01: paro airport – thimphu (65 kms/2 hrs/altitude of thimphu: 2,350 mts.)

after completion of immigration formalities at the paro airport exit door, you will be met by your bhutanese guide and get transferred to capital city of bhutan, thimphu. enroute stop at chuzom. on arrival in thimphu, check in at the hotel. evening free for leisure. you can also choose to pamper yourself at the hotel’s spa facility on direct payment basis – explore – spa. here you can choose to pursue your curiosity with signature treatments such as four hand choreography, epicurean body wrap, limitless facial, and discovery massage or with traditional treatments ranging from deep tissue to foot, neck, and scalp massages. overnight at the hotel in thimphu.

day 02: thimphu sightseeing

after breakfast you would be taken for tour of thimphu city. you would be visiting kuensel phodrang; national memorial chorten; folk heritage museum; changangkha lhakhang and motithang takin reserve. in the evening visit tashichho dzong. today, you can choose to exercise at the explore fitness centre and enjoy striking views of the city and mountains as you exercise. overnight at the hotel in thimphu.

day 03: thimphu – paro (65 kms/2 hrs/altitude of paro: 2,280 mts.)

after breakfast, you will be driven tom paro. on the way, stop at immigration check point in hongtsho village to return the permit which was stamped earlier. enroute stop at tamchog lhakhang. continue your drive to paro. on arrival at paro visit ta dzong; nemi zam bridge and kyichu lakhang. later check in at the hotel. evening free for leisure. on return to the hotel you can spend time in the elegant hub where books and magazines of various kinds are kept at your disposal. the area is also equipped with board games of various kind to keep one engaged. the nearby latitude bar can serve as an interesting escape for coffee or a drink. you would also witness a special ‘sundowner’ ritual performed during the evening where you will experience the transition from day to night with the lighting of the lamps and candles. overnight at the hotel in paro.

day 04: paro sightseeing

after breakfast visit taktsang monastery (tiger’s nest). on the way drive past drukgel dzong. evening is free for leisure. you can spend time on the outstanding outside deck of the hotel which gives a compelling view of the himalaya and the river. you can also strollin the outside lawn in the riverfront or even go near the river to get up-close view of the marvellous Himalayan beauty at hand. overnight at the hotel in paro.
